In this section, you will find information on the entire submission process. This includes how to format the paper, the language guidelines, referencing, the use of data, and the acceptance process. These resources ensure the quality of the journal submissions and that the articles have the best chance of acceptance.

Manuscript Preparation

An original article would normally consist of 5000-7000 words (excluding figures, tables, and references), although high-quality articles that exceed up to 10,000 words will be considered.

We accept articles written in English and Dhivehi. Articles written in English must use UK spelling and terminology. The text and English language in new and revised articles must be checked, edited, and corrected by the authors, preferably with the help of a professional editor.

Submissions may be formatted in single or double spacing, preferably in Times New Roman size 12 font. Elements of style, including headings, tables, figures and references must be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th Edition, 2020.

All accepted articles will be correctly formatted for publication.

The text of the article should use the following standard format for journal publication. 

• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Method
• Results
• Discussion
• References (literature cited)
• tables, figure captions and figures
• but not the names of authors, their biographical notes nor any acknowledgements.

Please make sure that authors' names are not included in the document/file properties.

You may use the manuscript template (refer below) should you wish to use one. Although the templates will allow you to estimate the total number of pages if typed in single line spacing, it is not essential that you use one, since all accepted articles will, as stated above, be correctly formatted for publication by IJSRI publishing
